Long Trail Brewing Co. – Pumpkin Ale (2014)

13 Oct

AlexAA: Tawny russet pour w/cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and warming brown sugar combine in the delicious aroma 9/10

AlexTM: Brown sugar & pumpkin is heavily doused in ginger & cloves, and lightly sprinkled in nutmeg & cinnamon w/ a mildly bitter tapering off 7/10

AlexP: Pumpkins are all jumbled and lost in the laundry in the conflicting spices and sweet malt. 4P

AlexO: Spices overpower here as Russian stacking dolls, but not in the order you want: Cloves>ginger>cinnamon>nutmeg 78/100

NicAA: Rusty, thin white foam that fades quickly. Cinnamon and nutmeg on top of clean, puree pumpkin aroma. 7/10

NicTM: Light mouthfeel, fairly flat. Quite bitter with a touch of sweet molasses, lots of tannins, light spices. Banana-pumpkin aftertaste lingers. 8/10

NicP: Plenty of it, but not particularly flavorful. 4p

NicO: As a safe, middle of the road pumpkin, it’s perfectly drinkable. But sometimes you just want a pumpkin that feels like riding a dinosaur in a thunderstorm. This is not that beer. 72/100
