Harpoon Brewery – UFO Pumpkin (2014)

AlexAA: Cloudy and dense with thick, enticing bouquet of cinnamon and cloves which aggressively overtake the pumpkin. 8/10

AlexTM: Brown sugar malt lays a bed for the pumpkin to roll around in, but cinnamon and nutmeg are balanced with the initial sweetness. Much lighter body than the ale appears, too. 8/10

AlexP: With the heavy dose of spices, you need a plethora of pumpkins -thankfully, they are here in this ale, creating creamy layers of sweet chunky gourd. 6P

AlexO: This is a pumpkin I also love on draft – the unfiltered quality makes this crisp, spicy ale one you’d take on a hayride while wearing flannel. 84/100

NicAA: A big, mouthwatering waft of delicious pumpkin and orange zest straight out with hints of cinnamon and clove. Bright orange, little head. 9/10

NicTM: Light, crisp and quite fruity, the spice is not overstated and balanced with the good amount of gourd. Unlike a lot of pumpkin beers, you could actually drink a few. 8/10

NicP: Being unfiltered is a real plus here. The pumpkin holds it’s own and tastes natural, not artificial. 5p

NicO: I’ve always thought this was a great offering. A great fall go-to, and a perfect intro pumpkin for any unsure about the style. This is what pumpkinhead SHOULD have been. 86/100
