Brooklyn Brewery – Post Road Pumpkin (2014)

04 Sep

NicAA: Amber, fizzy, w. weird broccoli odor and little else. Good head and lacing at least. 5/10

NicTM: First taste is hollow…then a quick glimpse of pumpkin and spice, and watery again. Light body…nutmeg I guess, it’s just so washy. 5/10

NicP: Weird, vegetal. Like it was raw and dipped in the pint glass. 4p

NicO: Feels like a fad diet vegetable water cleanse. More forgettable than that guy, who was in that thing. Kevin something? 53/100

AlexAA: A super bubbly, Jurassic Park amber-colored ale w/ a barley and nutmeg nose. 6/10

AlexTM: Biscuity malt and a dash of nutmeg play second fiddle to the barley malt & raw pumpkin in this crisp, light-bodied ale 7/10

AlexP: It’s as tho you’re gnawing on a thick slice of uncooked pumpkin without the actual texture. 4P

AlexO: Subtle spicing, heavy malt, and fresh pumpkin – seems tempting, but then the aftertaste has to cloy things up. 66/100
