Southern Tier Brewing Company – Warlock (2014)

AlexAA: toasted sugar and caramel waft up from the deepest, darkest brown of this stout, slight vanilla and chocolate appears in the aroma as it warms up. 10/10

AlexTM: roasted malt dissipates into sweet combo with pumpkin creating an almost butterscotch-like effect with cardamom and vanilla finish 8/10

AlexP: Juicy, full-bodied pumpkin with a smoky coat on – puts its dukes up against the stout. 6P

AlexO: This stout does its namesake proud – you want this warlock to go Rasputin on the Pumking’s court and takeover the crown. 93/100

NicAA: Barely penetrable coal brew, with enticing toffee and biscuit aroma. 9/10

NicTM: Rich chocolate melts into fall spice w. dash of pumpkin. Vanilla and dark, swirling coffee with racy cinnamon, and a thick, glossy mouthfeel. 9/10

NicP: honestly, not getting a huge amount of pumpkin in this complex brew, but it’s there, and sweet. 3p

NicO: Black like the chasm of the clams…there’s something so darkly charming about this evil twin of pumking. Velvet and spells. I submit! 93/100
