Uinta Brewing Co. – Oak Jacked (2013)

16 Oct

NicAA: Light cola colored brew with great lacing and an aroma of light oak and orange peel, on cinnamon and pumpkin. 9/10

NicTM: Strong musty oak and tart orange peel accentuates the hearty pumpkin and spice in this heavy brew. Boozy, warm. 8/10

NicP: The pumpkin here is jostling for position in a complex mix of flavors, but it holds its own. Needs no more, nor less. 5p

NicO: Take this to a cabin on an unseasonably cool fall day. Boozy warmth w. oaky tones and the orange zest zips. Treat! 90/100

AlexAA: fluffy foam on this dark, sequoia-toned ale. heavy cloves & light dusting of nutmeg & cinnamon wrapped in heavy oak. 8/10

AlexTM: surprising citrus cuts through a wall of booze to mix w/ hearty pumpkin. tapers to a tart, dry finish. 8/10

AlexP: Goldilocks of pumpkins – just right. Enough to hold it’s own and be tasted, but not too sweet to combat the warmth. 5P

AlexO: A body-warming sipper…you can almost taste the leaves change color in the layers of boozy spiced pumpkin. 86/100
