New Holland Brewing – Ichabod Pumpkin Ale (2013)

10 Oct

NicAA: Very hazy copper with clingy head. Chewy malt aroma and pumpkin meat…savory with a touch of spice. Mmmm! 9/10

NicTM: So smooth! Fresh, fleshy pumpkin in low fizz brew with delicate spices and sweet malt. Balanced like a cat. 9/10

NicP: Nailed it here, plenty and fresh but not overdone. The low spice is just enough to let the gourd take the center bow. 5p

NicO: Not showy, but got everything going on. Like that friend you kinda wanna hate, but can’t, cos they’re awesome. 90/100

AlexAA: Hazy amber w/ light foam tracing, sweet, malty scent that’s almost spongy w/ cinnamon & pumpkin adding sweet layers 8/10

AlexTM: a medium body with a clean combo of fresh pumpkin seasoned evenly w/ cinnamon & lt. nutmeg, fine balance w/ malt 9/10

AlexP: Fresh pumpkin can often waver on the watery side, but this puts a meaty foot forward. 5P

AlexO: simple pumpkin ale isn’t boring when done well – it’s classic. like a little black dress, it’s always in style. 88/100
