Schlafly Beer – Pumpkin Ale (2013)

02 Oct

NicAA: Warm amber, light haze, thin head. Bountiful, rich aroma of pumpkin, spice and a touch of molasses/brown sugar. 9/10

NicTM: Med w. med. fizz. Light malt and pumpkin, moves quickly into a velvet finish of fall spice, biscuit malt and brown sugar. 10/10

NicP: Exactly how I want pumpkin to taste in a traditional pumpkin ale, and to be showcased by the other ingredients. 5p

NicO: More balance than the US Olympic Gymnastics team and boy, they stuck the landing. St Louis I WANT TO GO TO THERE. 95/100

AlexAA: glowing blood orange w/ strong cinnamon, pumpkin, & cloves smelling truly like a full slice of pumpkin pie. 10/10

AlexTM: loads of pumpkin, full-bodied, w/ rich cloves, cinnamon, & nutmeg in balance, slight spot of ABV in mid 9/10

AlexP: You know how there’s only room for pumpkin pie after Thanksgiving dinner? It’s that amount of pumpkin. Perfection. 5P

AlexO: Savory AND pie-like. Bold like bourbon, full like merlot. It leaves me speechless…and THAT’S not an easy feat. 97/100

Did you find this in Mass or was it traded to you? I want to try it and I may have to search Illinois to do so next week when I am there!
