Cisco Brewers – Pumple Drumkin (2013)

05 Sep

NicAA: Perfectly clear with a thin lingering head. Copper colored, aroma of light allspice, a hint of clove and molasses. 7/10

NicTM: Bitter upfront and less spiced than last year. Quite thin, a bit too carbonated. A bit like a vegetal soda-water. 5/10

NicP: Getting a little in the finish but not much. There’s nothing backing up the pumpkin here to highlight it. 2p

NicO: Not flavorful, but more uninspiring than offensive. Needs more sugar, less fizz. Love the can, not the beer. 59/100

AlexAA: frothy head on vibrant sequoia body – pumpkin aroma leaps out of the can, w/ a light touch of nutmeg and cloves 6/10

AlexTM: light body pumpkin on a ribbon of caramel malt, cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves, then hoppy dry finish. 7/10

AlexP: fresh pumpkin here has a fine line to walk b/n spices and hops, but is sweetly chilling in the middle of the room. 5P

AlexO: this is a lovechild of a dessert beer w/ roasted malt & solid piney hops – I think canning it was INSPIRED. 79/100
