Wachusett Brewing Co. – Imperial Pumpkin (2012)

28 Aug

NicAA: Cloudy but bright orange, good 1/3 inch cream head. Rich malty and sweet nose, plenty of pumpkin aroma and a little spice. 9/10

NicTM: Very carbonated, medium body. Sweet and malty, the sugar is a delicious addition that enhances the pumpkin + delicate spice. Pie! 9/10

NicP: A delicious and generous helping of sweet ripe pumpkin here. Really nicely showcased by the sugar and not overdone spice. 8 pumpkins

NicO: A really fine pumpkin pie beer packed with flavors and pumpkin but none overdone. I would definitely (Wa)chusett again! (sorry) 91/100

AlexAA: vivid and dense blood orange w/ a frothy quarter inch head, smells of raw pumpkin and sugar cane 9/10

AlexTM: flush w/ barley and vanilla, tapers bitter from ginger and nutmeg, but the sweetness of the malt and candi sugar gives it depth 8/10

AlexP: Very fresh, and exotically featured from the ginger and vanilla combo – almost like a mushy bowl of the stringy pumpkin innards 6/10

AlexO: For an 8% goes down smooth – barley malt doesn’t cancel out the rest of lush flavors, and a fresh take on pumpkin, to boot! 88/100
