Sixpoint Brewery – Autumnation (2012) w.Citra Hops

28 Aug

AlexAA: bright, clear, carbonated orange, 1/4 inch frothy phone, smells of hoppy hoppy hops 9/10

AlexTM: The wet hops are the star player on this team – right up front, and well into the taste, spice isn’t there, but pumpkin is. 8/10

AlexP: very fresh, which pairs nicely with the piney quality of the hops but not a ton of it 3/10

AlexO: A crisp addition to the pumpkin club – this IPA has edge + attitude, w/ earthiness + warmth. And who doesn’t love a tall boy. 86/100

NicAA: Huge hop nose from citra wet hops, pours clear amber with a 1/2 inch foam + good retention. A little ginger and sweet pumpkin. 9/10

NicTM: Smooth/low carb, v. piney hop flavor, a little sweet in middle from the pumpkin, and dry finish. Not getting spice except ginger 9/10

NicP: Pretty hoppy so it is kind of hard to get the pumpkin. There’s a sweetness in the middle underneath the hops, but its light. 1 pumpkin

NicO: The hops are so strong+tasty the pumpkin gets lost, but the beer is so good I kinda don’t care. Huge hop hit, with citrus bite. 92/100
