Lakefront Brewery – Pumpkin Lager (2012)

28 Aug

AlexAA: A light, golden orange with barely a trace of cream-toned head, smells of cinnamon and not much else, like a pack of Big Red. 7/10

AlexTM: light + watery with spice – odd combo, cinnamon hits hard, but the lager finishes smooth, sweet, caramel malt tones w/ brown sugar 6/10

AlexP: So very faint that I literally have to close my heads and say, “I do believe in pumpkins, I do” to taste it. 1/10

AlexO: The combo of sweet + cinnamon balances out to crisp – enjoyable afternoon lager, but I want something more substantial for night. 67/100

NicAA: Slightly hazy amber pour with ¼ inch head. Aroma predominantly cinnamon and pumpkin meat. A little clove and nutmeg. 7/10

NicTM: Pie spices and pumpkin meat in a pleasantly drinkable lager. Rather well balanced, refreshing. Medium carbonation, med body. 7/10

NicP: More than I had expected, pumpkin is present in the aroma and flavor to almost the same extent. Goodly amount of gourd. 5 pumpkins

NicO: This is a fine lager, and it does have pumpkin and spice, but I’m still just not yet convinced by the pumpkin lager genre. 73/100
