Doc’s Draft – Pumpkin Hard Apple Cider (2012)

28 Aug

NicAA: V clear pale yellow, doesn’t appear too fizzy. Heaps of fresh pumpkin in the nose + v crisp apples. Sweet and tart all at once. 8/10

NicTM: Wow! I didn’t think a cider would taste like a pumpkin pie, but this one does! Generous pumpkin and there IS spice in this. 9/10

NicP: Plenty of fresh pumpkin in this, + well complimented by the nicely sweet-tart apples and a little spice, notably cinnamon. 6 pumpkins.

NicO: Like a delicious apple-pumpkin crumble, a fall treat for sure. Great balance of sweet pumpkin, slightly tart apple + yay spice! 90/100

AlexAA: Extremely pale yellow with visible carbonation – it smells like a big ole pack of Dentyne chewing gum. 5/10

AlexTM: The apple’s crispness is overtaken by cinnamon seasoning. The carbonation helps some, but the ratio is off of spice to apple. 5/10

AlexP: Hard to discern, but there ever so slightly. Perhaps more pumpkin would’ve evened out “sweetness” factor on this playing field. 1/10

AlexO: My sweet tooth left me, and unfortunately for this cider, it was well before today. Very sweet, very much cinnamon. Go Woodchuck. 55/100
