Cambridge Brewing Company – Coach and Four (2012)

28 Aug

NicAA: Cloudy and burnt red, with small fast-gone head. Smells yeasty, sweet malt and a little sour. There’s a tiny hint of pumpkin in there. 7/10

NicTM: Rich + malty upfront, this complex dark Belgian swirls around the pumpkin, and ends dry and a little bitter. Med body, low carb. 8/10

NicP: Pumpkin is not at the forefront in this complex brew, but it does add a v. pleasant sweetness which compliments the whole. 2 pumpkins

NicO: A v. different pumpkin. Rich, flavorful + complex, I savored each sip. Not my usual beer style, but I’d have another. Or four. 85/100

AlexAA: deep ruby w/ a saccharine thickness to the aroma, at first there’s also a trace of chocolate that dissipates after tasting 9/10

AlexTM: smooth Belgian fullness pours over tongue from sweet oak to slight bitterness, in beginning there’s slight espresso/chocolate 9/10

AlexP: Not very much, but “c’est minuit!” Cinderella’s pumpkins got crushed to bits when chased from castle…broken curfew = bits o’ pumpkin 1/10

AlexO: Happy ever after with this sweet musk + fleshed out Belgian. I’d have to watch out for leaving my shoes after this one. Lovely! 94/100
