Samuel Adams – Harvest Pumpkin (2012)

27 Aug

AlexAA: small frothy head, cloudy brown with an orange tint, noticeable carbonation, ginger + cinnamon aroma and…allspice, I believe 6/10

AlexTM: fizzy feeling, malty and sweet, spices are more present in aroma, except cinnamon – quite light-bodied, VERY sweet aftertaste 5/10

AlexP: Pumpkin has quite a small presence – so faint that, if I didn’t know it was a pumpkin ale, I would suggest adding some pumpkin. 2/10

AlexO: Much lighter beer than I would have thought with the look of it – a little too much spice + not enough main course, I say. 55/100

NicAA: Dark red and very clear, small cream colored head. Aroma is not strong…nutmeg for the most part. Little pumpkin. 6/10

NicTM: Disappointing. This is too light, thin and rather too carbonated for me. Spices barely there in the taste. Smoky in the finish. 3/10

NicP: This is a pumpkin beer? This is like they only had one can of pumpkin puree in the cupboard and tried to make it stretch. 1 pumpkin.

NicO: Well I’m surprised as I expected a lot more. With a wealth of pumpkin beers to choose, I won’t be grabbing this one again soon.53/100                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Sam Harvest Pumpkin
