Long Trail Brewing Co. – Pumpkin Ale (2012)

27 Aug

NicAA: Pours a perfectly clear bright copper with immediate nose of crisp apples and fall. Sweet pumpkin on the nose and delicate spice.9/10

NicTM: Thin, light carbonation, very mild spice except for the nutmeg which stands out. Crisp apples again, light cinnamon. Refreshing! 8/10

NicP: Pumpkin is there more strongly in the nose, but the flavor is there, sweet and well complimented by the spice. Nice finish. 4 pumpkins

NicO: An easy drinking fall beer you’d be happy with after a day’s leaf peeping. I’d be happy sitting in a Vermont cabin sipping this.80/100

AlexAA: very clear, lt. orange – sweet aroma, like Imperial, but more brown sugar and pumpkin to this aroma, w/ a chocolate overtone 7/10

AlexTM: light body, low carbonation, VERY light cinnamon and nutmeg to a decent helping of pumpkin 6/10

AlexP: Though more prevalent in the smell, does create the general breadth of this ale – and definitely more than in the Imperial 4/10

AlexO: Wouldn’t say go-to, but I would say stand-by – there’s nothing bad, just nothing exciting. This is a marginally pumpkin ale. 69/100
